Game Show Team Building | Survey Says

How well do you know your co-workers, company and company culture?

You’ll have a great time finding out with Survey Says – inspired by the ever so popular game show: Family Feud.

Since its premiere in 1976, Family Feud has aired during 31 non-consecutive seasons. Created during the increasing popularity of the Goodson-Todman game show, Match Game, by Richard Dawson.

Dawson was one of Match Game’s most popular panelists, and the immediate next choice as host of the spin-off, which combined the team format and form of questioning from the original 1960s Match Game with the survey polling used for the 1970s version’s “Audience Match”. We bet you didn’t know all of that!

A Game Show Team Building Program

Family Feud has been renewed through the 2016-17 season, when the show will turn 40 years old. That’s quite a run! It’s also quite an inspiration. Survey Says works well between courses of your company dinner, or as a stand-alone company event.

Much like Family Feud, your team is organized into groups (families) of five to 10 contestants. You can divide groups by departments, interests, regions, or any way that you’d like. The more diverse your teams, the more entertaining the guesses – and the greater the benefit in terms of bonding.

To keep the event lively and relevant, questions can be unique to your organization or general-knowledge categories. All game show questions are displayed on a projection screen for everyone to see, which creates an experience that is just as educational as it is fun.

Have you ever participated in a game show team building program? What was your experience like?
